Our goal of $900,000 to break ground and finish the basic building stage of our first permanent home in Oldham County is within our grasp! We have outgrown our small rented facility. The need for our services is real and the need is now! Our new shelter will be located off Commerce Parkway at 2601 Interior Way, LaGrange, KY 40031.

Our new 5,000- square-foot facility has been a vision of the Humane Society for many years. Thanks to the generosity of a benefactor, the 7.5 acres of land was donated as was nearly half of the construction cost.

The completed shelter will offer modernized care, a warm, friendly and safe environment, specialized dog and cat areas, and surgical care all under one roof. Outdoor dog runs and pathways will finish the new facility offerings. This will be a place that the community can visit and be proud to be a part of. We are a No-Kill facility that strives to educate and promote the humane treatment of animals. Oldham deserves nothing less.
