We have reached our Phase 1 Goal! Thank you to our supporters who have made a donation to get us to this first huge milestone! There is still time to be a part of this wonderful project. We are entering a smaller Phase 2 which well help us to complete and sustain our vision of our first permanent facility that will serve the homeless and less fortunate animals in our community. Phase 2 will raise funds for furnishings, appliances, fencing, clinic equipment, landscaping & more that will make this beautiful new facility an inviting place for our community to visit and come be apart of.
Join The Pack and help us raise money to build a new home for the animals!
Great things are happening! We have reached our first Phase 1 Goal to complete construction of the new facility thanks to the wonderful support in our community! We are now moving to the smaller Phase 2 to furnish the inside and update spay/neuter clinic equipment, as well as add signage, fencing and additional storage.
It's not too late to be apart of this exciting project. Naming opportunities, tribute bricks & engraved leaves for the lobbies tree of life are still available.
Completion is targeted for some time in April! Our new shelter will be located off Commerce Parkway at 2601 Interior Way, LaGrange, KY 40031.
Our new 5,000- square-foot facility has been a vision of the Humane Society for many years. Thanks to the generosity of a benefactor, the 7.5 acres of land was donated as was nearly half of the construction cost.
The completed shelter will offer modernized care, a warm, friendly and safe environment, specialized dog and cat areas, and surgical care all under one roof. Outdoor dog runs and pathways will finish the new facility offerings. This will be a place that the community can visit and be proud to be a part of. We are a No-Kill facility that strives to educate and promote the humane treatment of animals.
