To create a sustainable staffing foundation focusing on the care and housing of animals in need, including spay/neuter, foster care and adoption.
We will accomplish this by creating The Michele Culp Fund which will enable the Humane Society of Oldham County to continue to provide vital animal services by adequately funding staff positions. This will enable us to provide:

Why Now?
The Humane Society of Oldham County is an all volunteer, non-profit, stand-alone entity serving the Oldham and surrounding counties in Kentucky.
We are not affiliated with any other National, State or Local Humane Society. The Humane Society of Oldham County (HSOC) is run almost solely by volunteers, who work long hours to keep up with the growing demand. The only part time paid staff include an administrative assistant, two part-time veterinarians and one part-time receptionist/clerical position.
Michele Culp, the President of the organization, has been an unpaid leader of the HSOC for nearly 20 years. Because of her selfless efforts, the organization has helped over 22,200 animals including Adoptions, Spay/Neuter, and other clinical services for cat, dogs, rabbits, rats, pigs, and goats. Without her full time direction, participation, and determination, the Oldham County area would be underserved and at a loss (both humans and animals).
A new Executive Director position will be created. This will be a full time position whose focus will be on fundraising, direction, and animal care management.
To successfully move towards a solid staffing foundation, we are establishing the Michele Culp Fund. This Fund will serve as a critical foundation for the future of the Humane Society in Oldham County. We need a new home for our animals. This development process serves as a launching pad for the next phase of fundraising for the new structure.
We create this Fund honor of Michele Culp for her indomitable spirit, compassion for animals, and endless love for her community.
