Can one day make a difference? Yes it can, for the life of an animal in desperate need of medical attention, food and a home! Give for Good Louisville is one day when our whole community comes together to be positive and do something good. When you make a donation on Friday, September 17th, your donation will be matched by two generous volunteers up to $3000! Your donation will help us purchase items at the top of our "Needs" list, such as:
to charities who get the most unique donations (a donation of $10 or more from one individual) during a given time or randomly drawn! This comes on the heels of another fundraiser, but even if you have given, please consider a $10 donation to help us increase the number of donations received, making us eligible for prize money out of the $375,000 prize pool! It all adds up to do great things for the Humane Society of Oldham County and the animals we care for. Don't miss our Paws in the Park event Saturday, October 2nd from 11am-2pm at Belknap Community Park. There will be something for everyone! For the dogs there will be baby pools, 1/2 mile parade style dog walk, a timed canine agility course, musical sit contest, and more. Bring your dogs in costume to enter our “Best Dressed “ contest! For the kids we'll have a bubble table, face painting and temporary tattoos, a bouncy slide, and much more! For the adults we'll have a BBQ and craft beer tent, lots of vendors, music, and more! Miss Emma is still looking for her Fur-Ever home!Emma is the queen of her castle. But it’s time for her to have her own castle 🏰 to live in forever! She loves laying by the front door or in the sunroom watching people go by. A Rottweiler/Shepherd mix, Emma is almost 6 and weighs more than 90 pounds. She's basically easy going, but needs to be the only animal in the house. She's great with kids! She enjoys her chew bones and can brag that she has had great vet care her whole life, is crate-trained and has wonderful house manners. She does like to go outside and run about a bit and show off her personality. She is enjoying her time in foster care until she finds her forever home. Emma is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested negative for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma. If you would like to meet Emma, please fill out an adoption application and send it here. You can find our application here. We were recently on WLKY!
