Happy Thanksgiving!

Soon we will give thanks for our many blessings. As you gather or cook for your family, you can indulge your pets with some treats from the table but please keep in mind human foods that your pets can't have such as onions, leeks, grapes, raisins and artificial sweeteners like xylitol.

One Year Anniversary!!!

Picture

It's the 1 year anniversary of our new building! And we have been busier than we’ve even been!
*Calls to our shelter for assistance are up 25%
* There has been a 27% increase in the number of people surrendering their animals  due to illness or changes in their financial status, which is a 3 year trend.
*People requesting help from our Hungry Paws pet food bank are up 25%.
*We will  have completed 1,850 spay/neuters , the largest 1 year total in our history!

We have been able to purchase many things for our low-cost s/n clinic. Items that will make it safer, and more efficient for our animals and staff.
*Additional surgery and exam tables, a surgery light, laser machine, and  patient heart monitor just to name a few.
We have been able to put up a much needed storage building, and perimeter fencing.
The dogs got kennel fencing, and a play yard with dog friendly artificial turf.
Our volunteers have already logged over 18,000 hours.

Thank you for your support and encouragement that help keep us going! As always, we are in need of volunteers so if you would like to lend a hand to this amazing non-profit, email our volunteer coordinator at shell44@aol.com.

We had a particularly busy kitten season, leaving us in need of cat loving volunteers for cleaning cat rooms at our facility (comes with cuddling benefits) and cat fosters. Event help and planners and clinic volunteers are another need.
